Getting Started with Vehigo
A simple step-by-step guide for business owners setting up their company for the first time.
This guide assumes your account is already enabled and you can sign in as the company owner.
Sign in and check your dashboard
Log in with your business owner account. After login, you should land on the company dashboard.
- Confirm your company name is correct.
- Check that you can see menu items for managers, vehicles, drivers, trailers, and trips.
- If something is missing, stop there and resolve account permissions first.
Add your managers
If other people in your office need access, add them first so they can help manage routes and compliance.
- Open the Managers section.
- Click Add Manager.
- Enter their name, email address, and password.
- Save the record and repeat for each manager.
Add your vehicles
Vehicles should be set up before routes, because each route is assigned to a vehicle.
- Open the Vehicles section.
- Click Add Vehicle.
- Enter the registration and choose the correct vehicle type.
- Save and repeat until your active fleet is listed.
Add your trailers if you use them
Trailers are optional, but if your route uses one, add it now so it can be selected on the trip.
- Open the Trailers section.
- Click Add Trailer.
- Enter the registration and select the trailer type.
- Save each trailer you want available for route planning.
Add your drivers
Drivers need their own accounts so they can log in to the mobile app and complete checks.
- Open the Drivers section.
- Click Add Driver.
- Enter the driver details and create their login credentials.
- Save the driver and note the login details you will share with them.
Create your first route
In Vehigo, routes are created in the Trips section. This is where you connect a driver, vehicle, trailer, and planned stops.
- Open the Trips section.
- Click Create Trip.
- Select the driver, manager, vehicle, and trailer if needed.
- Add the route stops in order, including collection and drop-off points.
- Save the trip once the route summary looks correct.
Tell the driver to log in on mobile
Once the route exists, the driver can log in to the mobile app and see assigned active routes.
- Give the driver their login details.
- Ask them to sign in on the Vehigo mobile app.
- Ask them to open the assigned route and confirm it appears correctly.
- Before starting work, make sure location permissions are allowed on their phone.
Monitor checks and reports
After the driver starts completing checks, managers and owners can monitor activity from the admin side.
- Review route status from the dashboard or trips list.
- Open a trip to inspect completed checks.
- Use generated reports as your compliance evidence.
- If a route changes, edit the trip and update the driver, vehicle, trailer, or stops.
Recommended setup order
For a clean first setup, use this order every time:
- Add managers
- Add vehicles
- Add trailers
- Add drivers
- Create trips and assign routes
- Ask drivers to log in and start checks
